L.O.V.E.....as it is!!

No words spoken, no words heard
but just, two hearts beating for each other
to assure that i'm there forever.
Is this what we call as the sound of silence??

The most beautiful and profound feeling of life-Love.
It is charming , also transforming.
There is no life without love, the very state of our existence!!

Hmmm.... These lines just came to my mind and I felt like putting them down in my blog...Hope you all like it too..:)

Confessions of a shopaholic!!

Shoppinggggg!! I guess all of us just love to do that(atleast most of us). The joy of getting brand new clothes, shoes and accessories gives us immense pleasure. And the feeling that we get after buying these cannot be explained. We just feel that the world is a better place to live in to quote the words of the protagonist of the movie "Confessions of a shopaholic". That's a pretty good movie. A light hearted, enteraining movie but comes with a message. A movie that's is most wanted in times of recession and pink slips.

The movie shows a journalist who is addicted to shopping and keeps buying whatever nice things that she sees on the shop window and ends up with a huge credit card debts. She is such a big fashion freak that she wants to become a columnist of a fashion magazine and applies for a job in her dream company.Since the position that she had applied for had alreday been filled she ends up attending the interview of a finance and savings magazine. To her surprise the inteviewer is the same guy whom she had seen in a hot dog shop and who gives her a 23 dollars for buying a green scarf as she had exceeded the credit limit in all her cards. Though she was the wrong person for the job , she gets an offer from the firm and is forced to accept it to repay her credit card bills.
But in contrast to the expectations she becomes a very popular columnist of the magazine by writing a column on credit card usage titled"The girl with the green scarf".The story is all about this shopaholic girl and how she finally comes out of this addiction to shopping and in the end wins the heart of her magazine editor. My rating for this movie is 4/5. I had awhale of a time watching it. So what are you waiting for ...?Grab your pop corn and enjoy this movie. It would be a good weekend watch!!

Vision Cleared!!

Yeah.. I can see everything very clearly now. Yea..I feel great..Am extremely happy now.I felt relieved and as though a heavy burden is taken off from my face. The joy of being able to look into the world without a frame around my eyes is really great. I was so elated that I wanted to definitely write about this experience in my blog. Are you still wondering what I'm talking about? By now people who have been wearing spectacles and then have either used contact lenses or have gone for power correction through Laser surgeries would have been able to easily recognize what I'm talking about.I got my first pair of contact lenses!!My power is just -1(R) and -0.75(L) eye. You may wonder why I need a contact lens for this power. It is just for cosmetic reasons and who is spared from the curiosity to try new things in life. I'm no exception.I was so enthusiastic to get it, but after having got that I regretted it coz I was finding it very difficult to place it into my eyes.
Any object other than our own body can never be comfortable to us. Though with the advent of technology we have been able to correct all the defects in our body, the man made changes are not as perfect as God's creation.God is great!!Even the smallest foreign particles make us feel the difference from our own body parts.Just an additional pair of specs on your eyes is the best example to experience this feeling. People who wear specs constantly will be able to understand the difficulties of it.It is an irritating feeling as far as I'm concerned. I started wearing specs when I was 16 years old and it is nearly 8 years since I have been wearing specs.Initially the first time I was asked to wear it, I used to hate it like anything. It was taking some time for me to get used to that extraneous object in my body.I was feeling bad about the whole thing and could not even concentrate in my studies for some time, cause I was going on adjusting my specs and not concentrating on my work. Other thoughts used to run through my mind about my looks, "How am I looking wearing this pair of glasses.?Am I looking very old? What people are thinking about me?"I also used to wonder how did this problem come to me when no one in my family is wearing specs. I used to envy those people who don't have to wear glasses and curse my fate. But I had no other go and somehow had to wear it constantly, otherwise I could not see far off things like the bus boards and the classroom boards.

But gradually as time progressed and as I got busy with other stuffs in my life I got used to it and it almost became a part of my body.
I got my first pair of contact lenses recently. I struggled a lot to wear it the first time and the optometrist was very patient and helped me to place the lens into my eyes the first time. I was very happy once I put both the lenses into my eyes. For once I felt I could see things very clearly like seeing through my own eyes.Hats off to this man made marvel. After all man is great too!!;-) Though I'm not able to wear it with ease, I guess soon I'll be used to this also. But one day I would like to get rid of this too and go for laser surgery which would save me from all this pain. But initially getting the surgery done is also a pain,I'm wondering if I 'll be able to manage with that.Hope I get the strength and courage to withstand that so that I can enjoy the rest of my life without specs or contact lenses.

Love rules!!

The magic of love can bring life even to lifeless things and there is an element of love in all the things that belong to this planet earth is what seems to be the message of the movie that I recently watched. The name of the movie is WALL-E ,directed by Andrew Stanton. It is a very cute and sweet movie worth watching in theaters(to enjoy the Special effects and the beautiful animation). The story is all about a robot that has been left all alone on earth to clean up the mess that we human beings have done. This is a robot with 2 wheels and a square box over it and a pair of goggles as its eyes. The team at Walt Disney and PIXAR have really done a great job, making every move of the robot human like that you don't feel it is a lifeless thing. The expressions that they have tried to bring in with a pair of goggles and 2 metallic hands is simply superb.

The story starts with WALL - E doing this boring task of cleaning and compacting the garbage and piling it up as huge towers of trash, but later on develops into a love story between two inanimate objects. Another robot named Eva(designed to look like a female robot) descends from another planet where the humans have started living , to collect some trace life that is existing on Earth. Wall-E has collected many nice things from it's trash and preserved it for it's entertainment and as memorablia of human beings.A small plant is one of them. And Eva has been sent to collect that live plant from Earth. The movie is all about what happens to these 2 robots later on . And you need to watch the movie to know whether WALL-E is able to win the heart of Eva. This is one of my long pending blog posts saved in my drafts for a pretty long time. So the movie is out of theaters by now . But do watch this movie over a weekend when you have time buying a DVD or VCD:)

Push-to -Talk!!

It was an usual Monday morning and I was finding it hard to keep my eyes open.I was trying
to read a book ,had put my earphones on and at the same time sleeping....wondering how I'm
doing all in the same time!!ahem.. life has its own lessons to teach, especially when you
are pressed for time and when you have to travel quite lonnnnnng distance on a daily basis
to reach your "work place"(you should look at my face as i write this line),:-( is not
enough to describe the sadness on my face. But there is also a positive side to travelling
across the city.We get to see some nice things on the way.One thing that I love to watch while travelling to work is
the advertisement bill boards. They are really colourful, eye catching and also informative
sometimes(If you really want to keep pace with the current trends in the city).
Stop commuting, start sport biking!!Any guesses as to which bike has this tag line??It is
Yamaha's Gladiator. It is really good to watch such bill boards, which make you atleast
feel that commuting to work is not after all, that bad,and such cool ads drive our
imagination and make the journey less tiring. One more interesting ad that I came acroos is that of PROCALL...heard of it?? Atleast I've
never heard of it before. It said "India's first digital PTT service".Now the next question
came to my mind..what is that PTT service?I was really curious to know about it as it was
showing some mobile phones and a "Let's team up tag line". So as soon as I reached office I
googled it out and came to know PTT refers to "PUSH -TO-TALK".Let me just give you a sneak peek of this technology...some excerpts from economic times.
It's a next generation digital wireless (radio) solution featuring Motorola's Integrated
Digital Enhanced Network technology, making it the first digital PTT service in India.
PTT communiction (also called dispatch) on radio frequency allows unlimited number of users
in a closed user group communicate with team members for unlimited time at a fixed monthly
charge.

It has some really interesting applications:)
Users can talk with one or many or all members in the group instantly at the push of a
button. This would help business houses working in teams or those involved in BPO services,
airlines, hospitals, taxi or transport fleet management, call centres, courier services to
keep constantly in touch with their employees and monitor them even on field.
Using just one pocket-size digital handset, the services combines the capabilities of a
digital wireless phone, two-way radio with instant group talk features, integrated A-GPS,
advanced messaging services. The pro tracker facility enables to track a team member's
exact location.
The users would be able to receive traffic alerts, receive or send local advertisements and
have supervisors to monitor employees taking a break(what a killer app it is!!) with a
wireless punch card. Internet browsing, database access, wireless payment gateway, job
dispatches and swipe cards are other features
Ahhh.... Is this technical stuff too much for your brain to assimilate..then relax..
chill..it's after all a technology ,created by man,for mankind. And like all the
technologies,it has it's positive and negative sides.Hehe... you must be knowing why I'm
saying this.If it is allowing your boss to track where you are isn't it a BAD TECHNOLOGY??
That's really bad news for us guys...:-(

Then one more eye catching ad is that of Slice's AAMSUTRA(Kudos to their advertising
creativity).I've become a fan of these bill boards off late...they take me to a different
world and I enjoy that.As a child I've always been fascinated by advertisements while
watching TV and to become a creative director was a childhood dream too.Don't know if this
childhood dream will ever get fulfilled as my life has taken many different turns and am a
computer engineer now.Don't know if Advertising was the right field for me,but still have a
liking towards that. Now i've started contemplating as to what is the right choice for
me.Have I made a wrong choice by taking engineering or is that the right one for me and so
on...sudden rush of thoughts..ahhhh.. i want to stop them...I'm trying to bring myself
under control and calm my mind. Will I be able to come to a conclusion on this???Life is now going in a certain direction ,let me see if I can fulfill my childhood dream in
some way.

I'm sure many would have had such childhood dreams like me.Did somone fulfill their dream
or atleast close to fulfiling it??Or following such dreams is not at all possible or not
worth pursuing in the present day world??Or you didnt have any dream at all(Then you are really lucky)??Looking
forward to hear your comments.Do share your dreams and thoughts here:)
